In the article we learned that Compass is a very powerful sass framework. If you read the article "Sass compiling ", I think you are not unfamiliar with Compass. The perfect combination of codekit and compass But this error mechanism, for us to help very much, it can help point to Sass code where the error occurred, let you first find the wrong place, and correct. The error mechanism of "Codekit", like other validators, is not always easy to understand validation errors. For example, in sass we define variables by using $, and we do a test experiment that converts the $ symbol for the definition variable to #, and then saves the modified Sass file. This work is very powerful and very useful, and he can help us debug the relevant Sass code. "Codekit" is very clever, when you write an invalid sass code, "Codekit" in compiling sass will be error, and in the "Log" can also find the corresponding error information. Once again, look at the "Log" message and you can see the new information: Once you have added a project successfully in "Codekit", as long as you have modified any sass file in the project, "Codekit" automatically compiles the sass file into a CSS file as long as you save the file, which is similar to the Sass-watch feature. This time back to the "Codekitsass" project you just created, you can see that "Codekit" compiles the Style.scss file in the Sass directory into a style.css file and places the file in the CSS directory: If you do not know if "Codekit" will sass compile successfully, in addition to return to the file directory to view, you can also click on the "Codekit" panel log, see "Codekit" compiled "log" information. scss file that you want to compile, set the corresponding parameter in the "parameter setting area" on the right in the Panel, and then click the Green "Compile" button in the lower-right corner of the panel, and "Codekit" translates the. When your SASS project is added to the "Codekit" file area, "Codekit" automatically finds all SASS files in your SASS project: In the Codekit panel, click the lower left corner plus + to add the newly created Codekitsass item to the Codekit file area: Only the project exists, and the sass code without testing is not able to show you how "Codekit" compiles sass into CSS, so the SASS code is written in Style.scss file:Īfter the completion of the test project, you can actually learn Codekit operations, master Codekit How to compile sass into CSS. For example, a project called "Codekitsass" is created where a sass directory is placed and a test file is created Style.scss: In order to start using Codekit to compile sass, you need to create a project, create a sass in your project, and save all sass files to the Sass directory. After installation follow us to continue looking down, I think you will like Codekit. First from the codekit official website download down to install him (to the United States Knife yo, find a cracked version of it). As well as browser reload, code compression, optimized image and Jshint & JSLint functions, but we only use him to compile sass. He can help you with a lot of things, such as: less, Sass, Stylus, Jade, Haml, Slim, Coffeescript, and Javscript can be compiled into what you need. can also be used for you, help you to compile sass into a very good CSS. Ĭodekit can help create Web sites faster and better. To share with you today a little experience of using Codekit. Because Compass can't get a cracked version, and Codekit doesn't have much of a difference, I've installed codekitin my Mac system. From my personal departure, I tend to be more Codekit,Compass and Koala. We don't make too many comments and comparisons when it's good or bad. The first few are paid tools, and only Koala are free. So far, there are countless interface tools for Sass compilation, such as:Scout, codekit, livereload,Compass,Fire As well as the domestic compilation tool Koala and so on. To do this, we can use app apps to help us complete sass compilation, and then say goodbye to using commands to translate sass. Of course, we can through the system with the command line or other terminal command tools to achieve SASS compiler work, but for the front-end designers, although often used to remember these commands, will eventually feel unaccustomed. In theSass compilation andnodejs+grunt configuration Sass Project Automatic compilation tutorial, we detail the translation tasks that use sass and the grunt command to complete the SASS project, where you can also use sass- Watch and Grunt watch commands are implemented to monitor SASS projects from time to time, and once any sass files are modified, the Sass files are automatically translated into CSS. I haven't tried playing on your app with my Moga/bluetooth controller yet (if it supports it, that is), but as far as virtual controls go, it functions perfectly - just suffers due to overabundance of features and an unclean UI. This seems redundant and just makes the interface more complicated than it needs to be. I doubt anyone would care enough to change its appearance, the color of the text on it, what it says (as long as it says "Enter" by default), etc. I may just suggest that you use more intuitive icons/replace the icons with actual words describing what you're pressing, making the interface more Android-like so it'd be more intuitive, and maybe get rid of some of the customization options For example, it would be much more convenient if you could just add an "Enter" button immediately, and if you really have to, be able to resize it. Other than a pretty funky interface it works pretty great. Sorry for being a little harsh, it actually just took some time to learn how to use it. Hi, I've noticed that you're the developer of the app. TL DR: is there any DOSBox port/frontend that achieves the simplicity that D-Fend/DBGL etc are able to achieve on a PC? The ones that are available for free are really just direct ports, and crash often too.Īnd that goes without mentioning emulators and apps for other platforms, where they actually allow you to resize, add and remove virtual buttons, and often work right out of the box and either do or don't let you modify advanced settings if you really want, but that's not necessary because they've been optimized for mobile devices in the first place. I don't mind paying for any app, but when they're all basically a direct port of the FOSS desktop project with very little adjustments to make it mobile-compatible, it kind of misses the point of releasing it as a shiny new app. What also drives me nuts is that all of these mostly shoddy and unpolished ports of DOSBox charge you for money. There is one app that comes close, Magic DOSBox I think - but while it has great mouse emulation, it doesn't have a proper joystick, so any game other than Point&Click stuff are basically useless. Even the frontends for DOSBox on PC don't expect you to know DOS commands. Let alone my nephews, who barely know how to type on a physical keyboard. Seriously, I may have the technical know-how to type a few DOS commands, but this is one of the most widely spread operating systems of the 90s emulated on one of the most widely spread operating systems of the new millennium - my casual gaming cousins would never figure out how to operate the DOSBox Turbo + DOSBox Manager combo, even if they tried, even though they do like plenty of the games you could run on it. Spoiler: (#spoiler) = Mods rock LIGHT MODE DARK MODE BIG MODE SMALL MODEįor the past 4 years of using Android devices that outperform devices like the PSP and Nintendo DS by a landslide, it's been puzzling me how there is not a single DOSBox emulator with a configurable virtual joystick, a decent GUI that suits mobile devices, or at the very least the same feature set as things like DBGL/D-Fend offer on PC. Techland quickly put those fears to rest by saying that the enormous amount of time to reach 100% was reached by doing literally everything, and most players will be able to finish the main story and side quests in under 100 hours. This news took the internet by storm, and there were those who felt that 500 hours was a bit of a daunting mission to undertake. However, Techland confirmed that most people would be able to finish the main story and side quests in just under 100 hours. To fully complete Dying Light 2 Stay Human, you'll need at least 500 hours-almost as long as it would take to walk from Warsaw to Madrid! #DyingLight2 #stayhuman /Sk3KFpRJoAįans of the game were a little concerned over the amount of time needed to complete the adventure. This easily makes Dying Light 2 an ambitious game, but not in the way that some might initially have thought. It will take players 20 hours to complete the main story, 80 hours to finish both the main story and side quests, and 500 hours to 100 everything. Sharing the news on their official Twitter page, the creators said the game would take “almost as long as it would take to walk from Warsaw to Madrid”. A new infographic was provided breaking down the 500 hours that was stated beforehand. Here’s a reminder, too, that you can also stop playing that 500 hours-long game anytime you like-you don’t have to let it overwhelm you.It has been revealed that the long-awaited sequel to Dying Light will take “at least 500 hours” to complete fully.ĭue to release on February 4, Dying Light 2 promises to be hours of terrifying first-person zombie chaos. In a new message shared via the official Dying Light 2 Twitter account today, Techland informed. This is despite still occasionally fearing that I’ll miss out on the next exciting feature, another adorable visiting villager, and the tantalising possibility that the very next update may reignite yet a few more months of what used to be a calming morning ritual of logging into the game, collecting resources, and visiting old friends. So much so, in fact, that the studio has said it will take around 500 hours to complete in full. I’ve yet to exhaust every avenue of entertainment, explore every new feature or meet every newly introduced character since then, but I’m already content to put some distance between us. Take Animal Crossing: New Horizons, for instance even the game’s biggest update last year has failed to entice me into extending my stay on my paradise island for more than a few visits after the initial month. The good news is that products don’t last forever-and you don’t always have to allow your favourite game to bleed beyond its run time. That includes all of the quests, all of the endings which. A reality where we may see ourselves only playing a few games, over and over again, and with developers mostly working on a single release rather than branching out to making brand new, even experimental, experiences is closer than we might think. Techland has now come forward to point out that 500 hours is what players will need to finish every aspect of Dying Light 2: Stay Human. This is likely to get even longer, with the advent of live service models that see studios constantly churning out updates and new content to keep their games ticking. Games can be a hefty investment, and many triple-A games average between 10 to 50 hours-and that only accounts for completing the main storyline. Would I rather walk from Warsaw to Madrid, instead of devoting an entire month to play one single game? The answer is obviously yes.īut this isn’t new, of course it’s fuelled by a demand for games to be lengthier, if only to justify the price that’s being paid. That’s how we’ve ended up with the reality of seeing Techland’s proud announcement that Dying Light 2 will require players to invest around 500 hours to see everything it has to offer, along with a pseudo-fascinating factoid that this is almost as long as the time it takes to walk from Warsaw to Madrid. These days, time is a commodity of yours that many game studios-and a litany of other companies-want to monopolise. People in countries that suffer from high crime rates, particularly robbery and theft, are keen to adopt home security cameras. It had a compound annual growth rate of 22.4% between 20. The market size of home security systems reached $4.8 billion in 2018. Video clips can be stored in a local device such as a micro-SD Card or through a cloud service. Most are developed to send out notifications via an application such as when motion is detected. Many cameras offer features such as a wide-angle lens, low-light or night vision capabilities, and motion detection. One of the most popular abilities that consumer-level home security cameras have is to view their footage via a mobile app. IP cameras typically don't require professional installation saving time for home and business owners. This crossover to IP cameras in home use is partly due to the device's self-installation. A 2016 survey of 2,000 Americans revealed 20% of them owned home security cameras. IP cameras used to be more common in businesses rather than in homes, but that is no longer the case. Unlike consumer IP Cameras, Enterprise IP Cameras often offer higher video resolution, video analytics, and are mostly accessed though HTTP and real time streaming protocol (RTSP). They generally connect to the internet through Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable. Consumer IP cameras used for home security typically send live video to a companion app on a user's device. Network Cameras are developed for both enterprise and consumer use. Each group now has numerous additional members, thus cameras and recording hardware that operate under the same standard are compatible with each other. ONVIF was founded by Axis Communications, Bosch and Sony. PSIA was founded by 20 member companies including Honeywell, GE Security, and Cisco. To address IP video surveillance standardization issues, two industry groups formed in 2008: the Open Network Video Interface Forum ( ONVIF) and the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA). IP cameras may differ from one another in resolution, features, video encoding schemes, available network protocols, and the API for video management software. 1080P (Full-HD), 4K resolution (Ultra-HD) and 16:9 widescreen format). Since 2000, there has been a shift in the consumer TV business towards high-definition (HD) resolutions (e.g. Previous generations of analog CCTV cameras use established broadcast television formats (e.g. With the success of IP Cameras, other companies such as Nest (owned by Google, U.S.) released similar cloud-based devices. As of 2021, Ring has sold millions of units. The device offered quick setup, cloud-based recording, and motion detection. With advancements in cloud infrastructure, Ring (owned by Amazon, U.S.), released its first IP Camera doorbell targeted for home use in 2014. This camera was able to detect a number of different events, such as if an object was stolen, a human crossed a line, a human entered a predefined zone, or if a car moved in the wrong direction. In 2005, the first IP camera with onboard video content analytics ( VCA) was released by Intellio. The camera's Linux system contained video, alarm, and recording management functions. The first decentralized IP camera was released in 1999 by Mobotix. As a result, the camera was aimed primarily at the tourism industry, and not intended to replace traditional analog CCTV systems. This limitation can be attributed to the lack of powerful integrated circuits capable of handling image processing at the time of release. Although the product was advertised to be accessible from anywhere with an internet connection, the camera was not capable of streaming real-time video, and was limited to returning a single image for each request in the Common Intermediate Format (CIF). The first centralized IP camera, the AXIS Neteye 200, was released in 1996 by Axis Communications. The first IP Camera was invented by Axis Communications in 1996. Others are able to operate in a decentralized manner with no NVR needed, as the camera is able to record directly to any local or remote storage media. Some IP cameras require support of a central network video recorder (NVR) to handle the recording, video and alarm management. Most IP cameras are webcams, but the term IP camera or netcam usually applies only to those that can be directly accessed over a network connection. They are commonly used for surveillance, but, unlike analog closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, they require no local recording device, only a local area network. An Internet Protocol camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera that receives control data and sends image data via an IP network. The battery life of 28.2 hours for audio and 6.5 hours for video is plenty impressive.SanDisk’s MP3 players have long been the popular alternative to Apple’s all-conquering iPod players. Across genres, we were greeted with clear, solid sound. The Fuze powered through with reasonable-though not super thumping-bass response nice, rich mids with smooth vocals and an impressive amount of high-end detail. We tested it out with the Shure E310 earphones and the Creative Aurvana Live headphones and were not disappointed in either case. It also wasn't quite as encompassing as the sound coming from the Creative Zen V Plus-but it comes close. Let's be frank: the Sansa Fuze doesn't offer the sparklingly stellar audio quality presented by the likes of the Sony NWZ-A810 or the Samsung P2. If that still doesn't provide enough music for you, there's an FM tuner with autoscan and presets, or you can record your own beautiful voice via the built-in mic. It accepts high-capacity cards, which are available at up to 12GB as of press time. On either side of the Fuze, you'll find a power/hold switch and a microSD card slot for adding more memory. The only one that does not is the proprietary syncing port built into the bottom of the device-we'd much prefer it if SanDisk stuck to mini USB. The Fuze offers a few other attributes of note, most of which add value to the player. If you hear a song that you like playing on a channel, pressing down on the scroll wheel brings up the contextual menu where you can rate it and/or add it to your library. The player operates on the Rhapsody DNA platform, so it supports not only subscription content from the service, but also Rhapsody Channels, which are essentially Internet radio on the go. On the audio side, the Fuze offers support for MP3, WMA, secure WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, WAV, Audible, and Overdrive. If you still choose to add this type of media to the player, make sure it is in JPEG or MPEG4 SP format to ensure hassle-free playback. At 1.9 inches, the Fuze's screen isn't exactly optimal video viewing anyway, so this isn't too big of a deal. This dulling shadow also affects photos and videos, slightly diminishing the overall quality of viewing. Still, this is a minor gripe, and part of the problem is actually caused by the screen's protective coating, which casts a grainy shadow on the LCD. And yet, as with other Sansa models we've come across, the inner menus are dull, and while we appreciate the option to at least change the wallpaper color, we'd love to be able to set a favorite photo as a backdrop or otherwise tweak the look-and-feel to our personal preferences. The icon-driven main menu is nice enough to look at, and the device is very easy to navigate, with music organized into playlist, artist, album, and so on. This observation in quality unfortunately does not extend to the Fuze's interface. It seems more durable and high-quality than early Sansa models. But the build is more like that of the View, with a clickable scroll wheel, a shiny, plastic face and smooth, metal backside-the Fuze definitely has a solid, weighty feel to it. At 3.1 inches by 1.8 inches by 0.3 inch, the Fuze is only a bit bigger than the Clip overall, and it comes in the same color options: black (2GB, 4GB) blue, pink, and red (all 4GB) and silver (8GB). SanDisk thought up the perfect name for the Fuze, because the player really resembles a Sansa Clip and a Sansa View blended together. Sure, it's a bit of a Nano clone, but it also sounds good, offers plentiful features, and is cheap as all get-out-just $80, $100, and $130 for the 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB models, respectively. Such is the case with the Sansa Fuze, a slim device with a high-quality feel and several shiny color options. While cheap pricing has made SanDisk a real contender in the portable audio space, the company is not content to rest on that fact alone to draw new customers, persistently tweaking its new offerings in an attempt to make them better. SanDisk continues to add to its line of Sansa MP3 players, which has been attractive to consumers from the start thanks to the low price point at which the company can list its players. Q: Who are you guys and how long have you been working on this?Ī: We are a trio game design students from Sweden and we have been working on the game since the summer of 2011.Ī: Right now we have all positions filled! Once we’ve added everything we want to the game and it’s properly released, we will begin having sales, but until then we don’t want to lure people into Early Access with time-limited offers.įor a more thorough answer, see this post on the Steam forums! Therefore, a sale increases the risk of people buying the game without reading our EA disclaimers, and as such end up disappointed that the game isn’t completely finished, or simply not what they expected. The idea behind a sale is the complete opposite of that philosophy, as it creates an impulse to buy something before it gets more expensive again. Of course there are thousands of items waiting to be farmed, hidden puzzles in need of solving and mythical beasts roaming the fields… But if you prefer you can just go straight on with the main quest.Ī: The most important thing for us during this Early Access period is that buyers are aware of what they purchase in terms of stability, content, etc (which is why we only recommend EA for people who want to be part of the development process in some way). However, you won’t be forced to grind at all, unless you choose to. Imagining how many hours they must spend hunting loot it’s no wonder they named their entire world Grindea. Is this a boring and repetitive game? :/Ī: In the world of Grindea, people are obsessed with collecting items. All the graphics are made with Adobe Photoshop, animations included. That means, if we need to add another week of development time to fix some unforeseen bugs, that’s what we’ll do (and this is why we won’t give a proper release date until we’re 99% sure we can make it)!Ī: Yes, the game can be played on a gamepad just as well as on a keyboard!Ī: The game is programmed in C# and XNA. Instead, we put in the hours we need to make this game as good as we possibly can. Q: Why is the development so slow? Are you just lazy?Ī: The reason for the development appearing slow is that it’s a hand-made RPG made by 3 people who have no interest in rushing the development only to release a subpar product. Just add your mail through that page and we’ll send you a reminder once Secrets of Grindea leaves Early Access :) Q: Can you remind me when the game is actually released?Ī: Yes! We have this mailing list for this very purpose. We won’t release the game until it’s the game we want, and we’ve decided to refrain from giving further estimates and keep it as TBA until close to release in order to avoid disappointing our fans!Īs of now, it will be for the Windows platform only. Q: When will the game be released and on what platforms can I play it?Ī: The release date is currently TBA. Q: Co-op is cool, but I live in space… will it be online?Ī: Yes, the co-op will be online, so you’ll be able to play with your friends regardless of location! If you prefer to play a finished game, we highly encourage you to wait with your purchase until it’s properly released!

Personally, I often use this method to gain knowledge and wisdom from the Nine Worlds and find it really powerful. Also called aptrganga or aptrgangr, literally “again-walker”… Draugar are noted for having numerous magical abilities (referred to as trollskap) resembling those of living witches and sorcerers, such as shape-shifting, controlling the weather, and seeing into the future. The draugr or draug is an undead creature from Nordic folklore. When walking in a dark forest on a cold winter’s night, the witch’s goal was to catch glimpses of future events. In Nordic traditions, årsgång is often used as an evocation ritual to summon entities from the Nine Worlds to gain personal gnosis and wisdom. This prophetic walk was usually practiced at Yule (Christmas) Eve or New Year’s Eve when the Nordic folk believed all kinds of supernatural beings and dark forces were active and the dead ( Draugr) walked among the living. Doing my personal research, I have found that Årsgång is a very ancient ritual, dating back to at least 1,000 years. Årsgång (Swedish for “year walk”) is the ancient Swedish folk tradition of a solitary, night-time walk in the forest for gaining prophecy and information about the future. |
